A B S T R A C T
The oldest known medical practice is herbal therapy. Throughout history, all cultures have utilized herbs. Today, every culture on the planet possesses a deep understanding of herbal medicine due to the experience that has been gained throughout the years from previous generations. Plants are an excellent source of many different components. The rising number of illnesses has led to the widespread use of natural plant products. Hibiscus rosa sinensis, a shrub belonging to the Malvaceae family. Its leaves, barks, roots, and flowers have all been utilized as medicines in India’s ancient medicinal system to treat a range of ailments. The different parts of Hibiscus rosa sinensis plants have been shown in several studies to help cure a variety of ailments. Hibiscus rosa sinensis is commonly used in herbal teas and combinations. The antioxidant and antidiabetic properties of Hibiscus rosa sinensis (flowers & leaves) have been evaluated in several animal experiments. The purpose of this review is to highlight Hibiscus rosa sinensis’s therapeutic applications.
